REDWOOD EMPIRE ROSE SOCIETY

Pink and white roseWelcome to the Redwood Empire Rose Society. We are a chapter of the American Rose Society in Santa Rosa, California.

Organized 1965, the RERS has been very active in the Santa Rosa community. Each year the Spring Rose Show is attended by many non-members. The RERS entered in the Hall of Flowers Garden Contest at the Sonoma County Fair up to 2003.

CALENDAR & EVENTS

We meet on the 3rd Thursday the following months: February, March, April; June, July; September, October, November, and December. Meetings are at the Luther Burbank Art & Garden Center (LBAGC). Meetings start at 6:30pm unless specified differently. Programs begin at 7:00 p.m.

Sept. 15, 2022 – English Garden Tour with Barbara Ellis, Master Consulting Rosarian with the American Rose Society.

Oct. 20. 2022 – Rose Propagation with Burling Leong, owner of Burlington Rose Nursery in Visalia, CA.

Nov. 17, 2022 – Holiday Potluck and Officer Installation

Dec. 15, 2022 – Learn to Care for your Roses, getting ready for pruning by cleaning your tools.

January 2023 – The first two Saturdays are hands on pruning demonstrations at the Luther Burbank Art and Garden Center Rose Garden. Rain or shine.
